The main reason not to is what tiredbuthappy said. You may feel up to it now, but you still need to heal on the inside... A lot of women don't think about this, I didn't after I had surgery, you heal more slowly on the inside and can really mess things up if your not careful. I know having a baby isn't the same as surgery, for me after I had my daughter we had to wait at least 7 weeks, and it still hurt like h e l l!!! The stiches are what made it worse for me, but I had a second degree tear.
thanx everyone!! i havent decided if im going to do it or not!! Pinkbelle im allergic to condoms!! lol..but i think i may wait..because of what tiredbuthappy said,,i am still bleeding and i guess that means i am not totally healed like she said! I never thought of that but sounds about right!! lol...I really dont want to have another baby right away so i better wait until i get on some b.c...i do want kids in the future but IN no means do i want another right away! lmao! thanx again ladies!!
Yes. That is partly why they tell you to wait 6wks to have sex. Not only to heal but you are extremely fertile. Congrats on your baby!!!!!
i would wait until you're cleared by the doctor. you're not supposed to put anything up there- penis, tampon, etc... due to risk of infection. it's not just a question of being healed on the outside. the fact that you are still bleeding indicates that things are not fully recovered on the inside.
by the way.. it didn't hurt me at all... it was actually relazing considering I hadn't had sex in like 4 whole months = D
I didn't wait until my 6 weeks was up .. I did after 4 or 5.. I to had stiches.. I would try it and if it hurts just stop = D... I would use a condom though..
OH YES, you are VERY fertile after giving birth, breast feeding is in no way a form of bc
I know a few women who went in for there 6 week checkup and sure enough they were pregnant again.
I would wait until 6 weeks, you don't want to re open the stitches. I only waited 4 weeks and it was not pleasant to say the least, I had a lot more stitches though.
