pregnancy-- possible miscarriage

Hello all. Im new to this. One yr ago I had a m/c. Im pregnant again, according to my lmp I should be 8wks. On jan 19 I had bloodwork my hcg levels were 2 showing not preg. Then on jan 26 I went to dr and he did a urine hpt and showed positive. Yesterday I went for my ultrasound which showed that I am 4wks. Dr thinks that either I have miscarried, am going to, or i am 4 wks. Im so nervous. I also have a hemocyst on my ovary. I did bloodwork yesterday and am going tomorrow to do more bloodwork so we can see if levels are going up or down. Has any one been in this situation or have any insight? Im trying to be positive, but im so scared.

I think you are 4 weeks. If on January 19 your levels were just starting to rise than I'd say you couldn't have been more than a week from conception. Its quite possible you just ovulated late.

Yes I am seeing an o.b. yesterday though I didn't speak to my dr it was another dr in the office. My lmp was dec 7 2010. I think if my ob does agree with this other guy I will switch. I think that the other dr was jumping quickly to assumptions so im trying to stay positive with that in mind. I know that in the beginning things can be different for every woman. I have been having slight pain on my right side but the person who did my ultrasound said she saw nothing there. Also with my last m/c, I didn't find out till a mnth later that I had miscarried. =/ being hopeful and positive that everything will be ok.

Hi, are you seeing an o.b.? An o.b. should be more certain about what is happening then regular docs. What is the lmp? In the early preg. it is hard to tell exactly how many weeks along, especially within the first month, also within the first month you can have tests come back pos. and neg. because the hormones are still building up - an o.b. should know this, if you are seeing an o.b. it might be a good idea to find a new o.b.
