I had my 5 year IUD taken out February 3rd of this year. I tested positive on March 3rd and when I had my first checkup, I found out that I conceived February 12th. This will be my third child in 5 1/2 years and I didn't think it would happen so quickly and to my surprise my OB Doctor was just in shock as we were.

I had my Mirena taken out in October and was pregnant on the second month of trying. Unfortunately that pregnancy ended in a m/c...BUT fortunately I ended up pregnant again 11 days later and am now 14 weeks.  These two pregnancies were the fastest I ever got pregnant.  I have been pregnant 6 times (3 living children so far...4th on the way) and all of them took at least 4 months plus of trying with checking cm, using preseed, taking temps, using the fern saliva monitor, opks, etc.

Hi Carla, I had my Mirena taken out on the 29th August last year, I fell pregnant the same month I had it taken out, I was advised that I could fall pregnant straight away. However I don't think my uterus was ready, I lost my baby at 5weeks.  The Mirena thins the lining of your uterus. I would never have another Mirena. I think its a bad bad thing. I wish you all the best.
