i am 7 weeks pregnant and i found out my progesterone level was low so my doc put me on the oral prometrium 200 mg twice a day. im worried about this because i have had 2m/c before and really want things to go right i went today for more blood work but wount get it back till tomorrow. What are my chances of having a healthy pregnancy? has anyone had this happen to them? i dont really get sick, im just sleepy and bloated all the time? someone please give me some advice!

I cant seem to stop throwing up.... everyday around 4ish i get sick and nothing makes it go away n its extremly painful cuz it causes my acid reflux to kick in worse so as im throwing up the chunks from my lunch it burns really bad after and i try to drink water and take tums but they only make me throw up more it makes it worse:( I just dont know what to do i feel like i may be hurting the baby cuz of all the throwing up and burning in my throat and tummy... Does anyone have any advice??

You should be able to edit your settings on the tracker. Go to the tracker and then look on the top right of the tracker. Should see a settings button. You can change your due date which will change the fetal age.

It is really hard to keep your wits about you when you are going through so much testing. I felt like that the first week with my OB. I have since switched to a midwife. She makes me feel a lot more positive about things. Less 'scary'.  

I live in NC...it's HOT in the South. 90 yesterday and humid!

yea it was good to see it n i was surprised as well but so happy i seen it cuz i would of been a reck if we didnt get to see it!! i kind of feel like the doc is leavin me out on stuff though cuz i was told all is good but so many ppl are tellin me there must of been something up for them to wanna do another one in 10 days?? i hope not im tryin to stay positive!  do either of u know how to change the fetal age on my page i cant find out how to do it?!? Spiket77 where do u live i live in jersey n its hot here today too im exhausted and we have been runnin around all day when i stepped out side i felt like i was goin to pass out..

What great news! Glad you got to see your little bean! I am surprised you got to see the HB so early that is awesome!

wow that means we are due around the same time we thought i was 7 weeks but i got an ultrasound done today n it showed 5 weeks 5 days!! so my new due date is jan27! i seen my babys heart beat it was so cool it melted my heart!! it really made me feel a lil more relaxed! the rate was 99 bpm which i was told is good for the fetal age! i go back to get another ultrasound done in 2 weeks to make sure the baby is growin at a good rate and that the heart rate goes up! yes all the testing can drive u crazy just have to stay positive and now that its all worth the joy in the end!! I'm glad to hear your numbers went up! Congrats! I think all of that testing causes too much stress...don't you? I don't know how many times I cried the first week when they were testing my levels. Brutal!

I'm due somewhere between Jan 19th and Jan 25th. I have long cycles and wasn't really paying attention to when I was ovulating. My midwife should be able to nail it down later on. For now I'm staying with the later date. Better to have a later date because they the docs will leave you alone! Ha!

Great news! I stayed on progesterone until I was 13 wks! I really think it made a huge difference!

I hope it is smooth sailing from here on out!!!! Hopefully you will get that ultrasound!!!

i just got my call from the doc! she told me my hcg count went up to 12,562 which she said is great n means it went up like it should! n my progesterone went up to but i have to stay on the meds till im outta my first tri! i should be gettin my ultrasound tomorrow or fri(depending on my health insurance) how was ur pregnancy?

I am sure all will go well!!!! To answer your question, I am not pregnant. I am actually sitting here holding my 9 month old as I type! He was my prometrium baby!!!

thanks ladys for your input ill find out today what my blood work showed im so nervous! I never was told what my progesterone count was i was just told it was low so the doc changed my prometrium to twice a day... im pray all goes good and that ill be able to have a ultrasound soon!! n ill keep both of u in my prayers! Hi There,

My doc put me on progesterone two weeks ago when I first found out I was pregnant. I found it reassuring that lots of women use progesterone through the first trimester to help support the pregnancy. If your miscarriages are in fact from low progesterone then the prometrium will help. My levels were 13.8 for progesterone. Not sure how much the prometrium helps. I'm actually on something called Crinone which is taken vaginally. I only take it at night but I know that some women take it twice a day.
I'm not sick at all either. Just sleepy and a little dizzy.

Well no one can give you an exact number but we can tell that prometrium can help raise your progesterone levels! I had to take it while I was pregnant with my second son.

Do you know what your level was?? Anything below 10 is low, so I am assuming yours must have been around there for your doctor to put you on prometrium. My High Risk OB said your body can sustain a pregnancy as long as your progesterone is greater than 5, but he prefers over 10.

I know it is hard not to stress but trust that everything will be okay! Good luck!
