really struggling right now :"(

I'm a stm, gave birth 2 days ago on the 5th. This is our first night home and I'm stressing badly. LO hasn't breast fed for any more than 3-10 minutes on each side since getting home this afternoon about 2pm. Is this normal???? I don't feel like he's gotten much of anything and he's been doing this since we left. He'll latch and knock out after 3 minutes. It's now almost 11pm and he's still doing this every hour. All he wants to do is sleep. He also won't let me put him down , as if he constantly needs to be in my arms or on my chest. I wanna put him in his bassinet (right next to me),but for some reason. I'm nervous about leaving him there. I also need him on me and am.struggling to even fall asleep though I'm beyond a exhausted

I had my baby in the 3rd and she does the same thing! Iv been trying to feed every two hours but sometimes she'll want to eat every half hour sometimes and hour sometimes she tries to sleep and not eat for a few hours.  She eats anywhere between 10-50 minutes at a time. If he falls asleep, try rubbing his cheek or undress him to wake him up.

He will eat when he is hungry. Keep trying every 2-3hrs but most babies sleep alot, i know my daughter did.

I never breastfed so I'm not sure how that works bit as long as your giving him as much as you can as often as you can I think that its ok. Do you have a breast pump? Maybe you could pump you milk and feed him with a bottle? But the nervousness of not wanting to go to sleep even when your so exhausted I can understand. I'm on baby number 3 so I'm not as nervous but sleep is key! He will be ok even if he wimpers a little because he doesn't want to be put down. I hope everything works out :)
