My sister hadn't had a period in two years I suggested the same thing to her and she is due 3-14.
I'm not saying try them month after month. Not in the slightest but drs are expensive and ovulation tests are $20 for 40 I m saying try those for a month before getting stuck with a obscene dr bill that's all. If you happen to actually ovulate well you just saved yourself a bill and a bunch of tests and hormone pills that's all.
If you haven't had a period in 6 months then yes you need to go to the doctor. The ovulation strips are great but do you really want to keep doing them for the next who knows how many months if you aren't even ovulating? I don't agree with twomomstwogirlsandaboy. I wish you the best in TTC but seeing a doctor about your monthly period will help you more right now then taking an ovulation test. Good luck!
I don't agree with Nicolew09. Being a lesbian having sex wasn't an option for me. Going to the dr can be avoided. I would suggest getting ovulation tests. They sell them in 40 packs. Its like taking a pregnancy test every day when you get the posative ovulation test you should try that day the next day and the day after that. That is your window. Having sex every day lowers sperm count. . Also having our hips raised like on a pillow can help. Not saying I'm an expert by any means but my wife and I concieved April 12 using a syringe and one sample left by our donor in a cup. It was the eqivelent of having sex once. Its all about timing
You need to speak with your doctor if you aren't having a period. Once you get your cycles straightened out, you'll need to have sex more than two or three times a month.
You should speak with yer doctor...yu may not be ovulating.
