Yeah, it ***** when these '' life saver'' dont bother to remember their oath they took in medical school. Its so annoying and upsetting i know. Please be more attentive as you have been so far. And yeah thanks for your advice. Hope you are feeling better now.Take care.
Thanks a lot for your advice. I hate being so sick all the time. I feel like walking pharmacy :-)
I am doing better now. tc.
Honey and lemon are definitely helpful!
When I was sick I couldn't keep anything in my body. I ended up going to the ER for iv fluids. I told them my concerns about not being able to get any nutrients into my body and they reassured me that our bodies store enough and that baby will get what they need. The main concern is dehydration.
Everyone has been sick lately. Being pregnant while sick definitely makes it worse! The ER prescribed me two scripts that I didn't end up using (anti-nausea and anti-diarrhea) because they explicitly say "DO NOT TAKE WHILE PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING" and I am pregnant AND breastfeeding. Said they were fatal to children under age 2. I'm soooooooo irritated about that because they knew this and still prescribed it.
I had a sore throat up until 19wks (I'm 24wks today!) from constanly vomiting. My doctor told me there really wasn't much he could do and that Sucrets would probably work the best. They taste terrible, but they do work! I tried peppermints and other hard candy and basically kept my throat "wet". Also, I went from taking 0 meds daily to taking 4 daily and 2 as needed...so I'm with ya on the meds thing!
Thanks for the suggestions. I have started drinking hot tea ( just lemon and honey, not sure if i can drink herbal tea). I was freaking out yesterday coz had some fever yesterday and pain all over body, it really *****. My fever is better, i didnt take medicine and rested and today I am off. Hopefully it will work. I never had these problem before but now when I am pregnant getting all sort of infection/fever and it really is irritating. How are you doing now? Did you take any medicine?Hope you feel better and congratulations on your pregnancy !
Thanks for suggestion, I will do so.
Warm tea, salt water rinse as suggested above, humidifier, lozenges, drink lots of room-temp water (no ice cold water), etc. Try to not use your voice unless necessary and never clear your throat (clearing your throat is bad on vocal cords). Instead if you need to clear your throat open your mouth and do short coughs.
I have had the flu all weekend and I'm also 10 weeks. It really stinks being sick while pregnant!!!
Gargling salt water will help x
