WIth my daughter I had problems with leg cramping and dyhydration so I've really been trying to drink more so the cramps stay away which I"ve been successful at so far but this diarrhea is so not helping my cause!

I believe the article is saying that if your mildly lactose intolerant and pregnant that the hormones can cause your symptoms to be worse. And yes excessive diarrhea in early pregnancy can be very harmful, but on and off it isn't uncommon. If you have a tipped uterus it can press on your anus instead of your bladder, but all the hormones can also cause you to be not normal in your movements for a while. Everything is on the web page I provided.

I don't understand how one can become "lactose Intolerant" all of a sudden? I mean can a person fall pregnant and then be latose intolerant, or the condition has to be already there?. I am not going to mention what happened to me when I suddenly had diarrhea while I was 5 weeks pregnant. I don't want to scare anyone.

""Diarrhea may result from a number of causes during pregnancy. The more common culprits include a lactose intolerance, dietary or hormonal changes or sensitivities to certain foods while pregnant. Common food culprits that cause diarrhea in pregnancy include sugar-free candies and dairy products (in women who are lactose intolerant).

Pregnant women who have existing gastrointestinal problems - such as inflammatory bowel disease or irritable bowel syndrome - can also suffer from occasional or chronic bouts of pregnancy diarrhea. ""

the site also says it should last a day or two on or off,. ill give you the link to if you want to look it over.
