spotty brown period

Im 33 and missed my period last month and the only thing i have this month is a brown spotty period coming from me. (not even sure i can call it a period)  I dont feel any symptoms of being pregnant either. I should also mention that my husband and I have been trying for the past 4 months or so.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

I went to the Doctor and had some blood work done. My progesterone is very low. I am now taking 100mg of progesterone twice daily. The bleeding and blood clots have slowed down and the Dr. said my cervix was closed after the ultrasound (good news). Also, the ultrasound showed a "Dot". Dr. could not tell me what that was. She apparently had no idea. What do you think about what the Dr said?
Anyway, I am scheduled to see the Dr. again this coming Friday to check my progesterone level.

I had something similar.... I had all the typical pregnancy signs for about 2 weeks.... then a brown spotty period.... It was weird.  Doctor said it was just old blood, but I'm not totally convinced.

Well this can also be a sign of inplantation bleeding. I when are you due for your period? If it has already passed then I would try taking a test to see whether or not you could be prego. Good luck and let us know how everything goes. Baby vibes to you!
