stitches

Mums who've had stitches after birth what have you done to relieve pain? Panadol just isn't working tonight.

If the pain has been going on for a long time get checked for infection.  It's also possible you have nerve pain.  Try sitting on a harder surface too--like hard back kitchen chair.  Seems contradictory but the softer the chair--the worse my pain was for a couple of weeks.  I took the max ibuprofen dosage for a while!

soak pads in witch hazel and stick them in the freezer. whenever the pain gets bad, use one of those. it's not a good idea right away as you're still bleeding a lot, though

They also told me taking a warm bath helps dissolve your stitches faster.

Ibprofen, pain medication they gave me. I took them both every time i had a chance. Cold packs, numbing spray and squirt warm water with the bottle they gave me when I went pee. Stitches were horrible for me for two weeks. They also say go pee as frequently as u can. Idk if that's add more pressure down there or what lol
