sudden swelling 26 weeks pregnant...help?

At about 6pm i felt my feet just swell really rapidly. Its not as bad as it could be i suppose. My toes are hard to move and feel numb. Im now swelled to my knees almost and when touching my legs it tingles. Ive never had this with my other pregnancys so im not sure to go to l&d or not. I should also add last week they found i have a high fluid level at 21.6.

I'm glad to hear she is moving!  If at any time you just get that "something isn't right" feeling, trust yourself and just go!

This girl is giving me a run for my money! I wake up worry because no movement for over an hour then right when i sit to eat she wont stop moving. My feet are still swelled and had to take my rings off because they were way to tight.

Well i took a nap and just got up about 30min ago. Since then i have not felt her move but ive also been moving getting dinner ready.  Im now back in bed timing for movement and my feet are still the same. I may just go get checked after dinner for peace of mind. If the look at me like im dumb oh well this is what i have insurance for, right?

Most likely monitor you and possibly put you on bed rest.  You may have already thought of this but make sure that you keep your sodium and caffiene intake at a bare minimum and drink tons of water.  Caffiene and sodium will make the swellin worse as will dehydration.  With my 3rd pregnancy I swelled so bad it was unreal.  I'm pretty sure mine was due to caffeine intake and not enough water, I was checked but no Pre-e.  After giving birth I took diuretics for a week and I LITERALLY, no exaggeration, lost 25 lbs the first two weeks.  That was AFTER what I lost giving birth.

Most likely it's nothing, but I would definitely get checked tomorrow.  Now, if you notice your face or hands swelling or becoming numb or blurred vision I wouldn't wait that long, just go to the ER.

Yeah i so rather go and have it be nothing then not go and it be something major. Ive been in bed since and it has not got better or worse. So im not sure what is up plus my left foot is worse then the right. If i had pre-e this early what would they do?

Sounds like a plan.  Men can be so stupid when it comes to stuff like this. They have NO idea that what seems like a mundane, stupid side effect can actually be a symptom of something far worse and it is MUCH better to have it checked to find it's nothing than to not be checked and it be something serious.

My response to comments like are always something along the lines of "Yeah, but wouldn't you have felt like an @ss if something HAD been wrong and we DIDN'T go because you didn't want to "waste" the trip"

;)

Well another doctor called from my doctor office. He said to just elevate my feet and if it gets worse while doing that then go to the emergency department. Other wise call my doctor tomorrow to be seen in office.

So i called l&d spoke to the nurse and she is going to page my doctor and have him call me. I think its better safe then sorry but everytime its nothing df and my uncle say "see an all day/night trip for nothing." So i just assume to go all by myself.

Numbness is definately a sign that you need to be seen.  It's probably nothing serious, and just one of those weird pregnancy things but it's better to get it checked to be safe.

Well ladies i got the swelling to go down some last night, so i just went to sleep. Now i kind of feel like its coming back because my sandles are tight fit and when i stand my feet feel numb. So im going to eat, wake df, and call the doctor. I hope it is nothing serious.

If the swelling came on suddenly and has gotten worse, it definitely warrants a trip to L & D.
