swelling!

I am 23 weeks and I took a road trip with my husband daughter and my in laws to Hermosillo.. remind you I live in buckeye, az and from buckeye as to Hermosillo its Luke a 7-9 hour drive. Well by the time we got home my very were so swollen to where my sandals wouldn't come off and my husband started cracking jokes on my cankles lol.. I elevated my feet right away and drank water but is there something else I could do to prevent my feet from swelling like that again?

Put your feet in water and salt. You can purchase it at target or Walmart etc. Ask your ob this can cause your blood pressure to go down a bit. Or you can use my fav getting a foot massage, helped every time.

When u take any long drives over an hr u need to stop and walk at least for 5 mins every 45 mins to an hr that would've kept u from swelling up hun also lots of water or at least gatorade
