swollen!!

My feet, ankles, and fingers are constantly swollen. It's too the point where I can press on my foot and an imprint kind of stays. I don't have high blood pressure, I drink plenty of fluids, and I don't really eat that much sodium. Is this normal? And what relieves it besides elevating your feet?

Thank you ladies for your responses! I have an appointment on Wednesday so I will be asking her to check out some things, as well as calling tomorrow to let her know. I have no swelling of the face so I think that's a good sign.

As long as you don't have high blood pressure or protein/sugar your OK. I swelled really bad everything is OK annoying but OK lol but if your face swells that's bad so keep eye on your face

Yeah I'd call pre eclampsia also comes with swelling but I think it comes with high BP too so I'm not sure. If it gets even worse or you have other symptoms I'd go in tomorrow just in case.

Yeah swelling is normal but not to the extent that the indents remain once you push in.  Nothing you can do really except keep affected areas elevated above the level of your heart and keep your fluid levels up ... Try get an appointment asap too x

I have mentioned it to my midwife, she said it was normal at the time- I mentioned it two weeks ago, but it was not this bad. They never check my urine for some reason, but I will be calling on Monday to tell them I am swelling worse.

Well I know swelling could be a sign of toxemia, but that usually comes with hbp. Has your Dr tested your urine for protein levels?

That's really not good have you told your doctor about it. Because they may want to check to make sure you don't have anything more serious. I get swelling but not that bad. The doctor told me to let him know if it gets that serious. Let them know just in case.
