You should be fine. Just keep watch for abdominal pain, or of the vomiting looks like coffee grounds, then go to the ER.
I am currently taking zofran. This is the first time this has happened to me.
Yeah, that's fine. It's not an emergency. I'd call Monday and make them aware and see if they want to move your appointment up, I don't know your medical history but you should be fine till wednesday, and if you have severe nausea and vomiting that caused you to rupture a vessel then ask for zofran, that will help.
How bad is an ulcer? My next OBGYN appointment is this Wednesday. Will i be okay till then?
If you have been vomiting due to morning sickness you might have ruptured a vessel or started to develop a ulcer due to stress. But if it persists and geta worse through out the night OR you develop abdominal pain and you don't feel comfortable then go to the ER. Always better safe than sorry, especially when your pregnant (even tho I don't think vomiting blood has any direct relation to the baby) but regardless I'd make an app with your PCP if it persists.
Awww yes an ulcer....she's probably right. Good call nurse.ni just thing WOW....throwing up blood sounds horrible. But an ulcer would make sense.
Yes, its bright red. Probably about 2 tablespoons of blood i threw up. But my mom mentioned that i had meatloaf for dinner wich had ketchup on it and didnt know if that could be the problem
What color blood was it? I'm a nurse,.the doctors aren't really worried about it unless it looks like coffee grounds. If it's bright red it might be an ulcer...
Well i have been throwing up a lot these past weeks and he said i could of broke a blood vessel and that's why it happened.
That does not sound normal....pregnant or not. I am a director at a hospital and work with ALOT of physicians.....I've never known throwing up blood to be normal. If it were me....I'd go to the ER immediately.
