to dye or not to dye my hair? is it safe during pregnancy?

Well before I got pregnant I dyed my hair red. Ever sence I found out i was pregnant I have not dyed it and my hair is looking orangey yellow. I really need to know if any of you have dyed your hair during the first trimester im 12 weeks. I really dont want to go out in public looking like this .

Just be sure it's well ventilated and you will be fine. Those strong fumes are bad for you even when you ARENT pregnant.  If you're doing it at home do it outside or open windows. You'll be just fine :)

I did, I went in and got it done.  I was about 8weeks pregnant.  I'm now 28weeks and my baby is just fine :)

Revlon hair dyes no longer have ammonia. Thats what ive used. Ive dyed my hair twice. The first time i was about four months. I use to do bright red with special salon dyes but i changed to revlons burgundy. The dyes with no ammonia are safe for baby

The chemicals don't affect baby's development. It's only the strong ammonia or bleach smell that can be bad for you and baby by you inhaling it. Wear a mask if bleaching. If not bleaching, get a hair color without ammonia. Simple.
