See? Kinda useless. I don't think they're even nurses, last time I called, she literally googled my problem and told me exactly what I had just read. Had nothing to say except go to the er.
I never call the nurse line anymore because they always send me in all panicked! I had a yeast infection and they told me I lost my mucus plug and was likely to go into labour. I go in to get checked out expecting the worst and wait 5 hrs to find out its a yeast infection and that everything is fine. I now just post on here or call my doctors office.
Oh and about the nurse hotline lol, they NEVER give any advice other than come into l&d or the er. They cannot give a diagnosis over the phone for things that seem serious. If it's simple, like your infant won't stop throwing up or has a low fever, they'll advise you to try some things.
It could be a number of things, I know what it i because I've thrown up the bright red blood before, and my grandpa had the coffee grounds. He had an ulcer I think, that's what caused his.
everything is ok I should have listen to y'all I was just nervous bcuz when I called the 24hr nurse hotline they told me to go to the hospital bcuz it could be dried up blood so I didn't no what to think I should have just ask y'all before calling the nurse seems to me y'all know more lol thanks :) and do y'all what cause that bcuz the doctors don't no
Coffee ground bits are from deep in the stomach, not just tearing something inside from heaving too hard, in that case it would be bright red. Good luck momma keep us updated
I'm a ftm so I am so nervous
I only ate breakfast grits and eggs so I no it can't be I would say it kind of look like coffee grounds if so what can it be I'm on my way to the hospital to make sure the baby ok
Did you heave a lot before vomiting? It could have been a little blood mixed in or even something you ate. If it burned coming up could have been stomach acid. Sometimes if blood and acid mix it can turn black. I would maybe bring it up to your doc at your next appointment. It could also just be one of those one time things that have no explanation. I wouldn't worry to much.
Ever? Lol odd. Does it look like coffee grounds? Cause if it's not something you ate, the coffee ground looking bits can be blood
