lol  I've been dealing with back pain for over 9 years now, so anytime they tell me i'm feeling contractions, it really only feels like a little kid is lightly running a fingernail across my stomach.  I have mostly back contractions, and back labor too!  Haha that's how I get epideral FREE labors, and under 30 mins.  How ever when my waterbreaks, that's an entirely different story!  I can feel them then!  But it's not really painful, it's like....well I guess the best way to describe it is....sitting on the toilet and you feel like you have to poop and can't...but just pressure mostly.  It's weird

With my son, I was fully dialated at 5 months!  AHAHA  su cks though.  I can tell when I am as well, it feels like during a pap smear when their taking a swab to you to check for std's or whatever it is they do, lol that's what it feels like.

LOL  I'll gladly send you some dialation!  LOL  I asked my doctor when I was pregnant with my son to check me.  That was when we realized I was fully dialated.  He kind of gave me a funny look, and was wondering why I wanted him to check and then he freaked!  LOL

I was preterm labor about 9 weeks early.  I didn't have any pain with preterm labor.  My belly would just squeeze into a ball.  I didn't have any pain at first but whenever my contractions would hit, I had to lay down on my left side.  I did have back labor 9 days early and that was wierd... pain down my legs and up to my ribs but all in the back.  I couldn't sit for anything.  When it comes to your baby, only you can be the advocate.  Who cares if you irritate a nurse or a dr.  This is the life of your child.  Laying on your left side is best.  Try some mild heat on your back too, if nothing else, it is a nice distraction!
good luck and happy thoughts...

hmmm, I'd go ahead and do what your doctor says.  It wont hurt anything, especially if it's still hurting when you lay down!!!!!

If you happen to be having really good contractions, which only the monitors would beable to tell at this point, then it would be a good thing to get checked, because they can stop them, so you can keep your little bugger in your for atleast another week or so!!

Maybe your already dilating and everything, it would be good to know about any progress!  Is there the possibility of just going into the doctors office and getting checked?  I'm right there with you when not wanting to go to the hospital!  I hate them LOL

I would so smack them upside the head!  LOL

My doctor says, especially with me, If I feel a contraction no matter how far along I am I HAVE to go in!  Because they want to catch me before I am fully dialted.

If you were say 37 weeks and it turned out to be false labor, then sure they can get cranky, but preterm labor, those people need to be beat, LOL...

Hmm I think I may be getting in a moody mood!  LOL

Hang in there Rosa!  I'd say truly go ahead and wait until you either can't take the pain or your water breaks!

I got sick before and DURING my labor. Puking and dry heaving during contractions. I'd lean over and dry heave into a tiny bedpan thingy, then turn back and push with all my might. I'd definitely take that as a possible sign that labor is near...especially if you're cramping. To be safe you may want to call your doctor's office (or nurse on call) and see what they recommend.

then i would say yes go in, say i think im in labor and they should hook you up to see.  And they can stop it.  Always better to cook a bit longer!

I ask how far from the hospital you are because if you under 30 minutes away then i'd wait till your water breaks, or are in so much pain the absolutely no position change helps.  That way your not in and out of there so much.  Of course if you go in and your having good contractions they may keep you there.

You could be having back labor!  That's what I get, and I don't feel my stomach tighten.  But then there is a lot of pressure that makes you feel like you have to take a giant pooh!  LOL....

How far are you from the hosptial?  And did you find out what you were leaking?

Some people do get sick right before labor.  I'd go in, if it were me.
