worried about being a mom.

so I've never really been good with kids. I have 2 nieces and 2 nephews and I'm really no good with them. I can't handle them most of the time and I just feel kind of awkward around them. now I worry that I'm gonna be that way with my son. awkward and not really knowing what to do. you think when he gets here all my motherly instincts will kick in and I'll change, or what?

Yeah it's definetly different with your own kid. He's a part of you and you feel that instant connection. And if you don't thats normal too. I've always wanted to be a mom, but I've always been scared that I will screw up with him. But my baby is 3 weeks now and so far so good :) it's hard cause he cries a lot from acid reflux, but I still love him to death and would do anything for him.

It's different with your own kid lol little kids can make anyone feel awkward if you're not used to taking care of them or w/e but you've got a bond with your baby. You feel it move inside you and it's a part of you. It all comes naturally :)

I've never baby sat or changed a diaper in my life! Little kids actually make me nervous. I'm hoping that since it's my own I won't feel that way

Yes your motherly instincts will kick in and you'll do fine, its going to take some getting used to but kids change people! :) don't stress Mommy, I'm sure you'll do just fine.
