❤ 25 weeks ❤

just an update & quick question for you lovely ladies!! ((:

FINALLY went to our new OB today - we haven't met the doctor yet, but we'll be doing that & we'll be doing the glucose test on the 22nd! they have 6 doctors all together, who ever is on call when I go into labor will deliver our baby boy, so I'll have the opportunity to meet all of them.. PERFECTLY fine with me! I love this office, the nurses, etc. so excited! we'll be starting child birth classes soon, and I also have a list of pediatricians to look at! OH, and I have the # I need to call to register for the hospital.. ahhhhhh, how exciting?!!! ((:

anyways - update on Colby Lee: he currently weighs around 1lb. 12oz., he is head down (resting on my bladder of course), and his feet are digging in my ribs! his heart, lungs, brain, etc. all look perfect!! thank goodness I've finally been able to gain weight.. I was around 123.5 pre-pregnancy (which took me over a year to get to from about 105 lbs.).. today I weighed about 132 (little under), but I'll take it!!! it's SO hard for me to gain weight, and I was super worried about that, but all is well!

I can't believe how quickly time has already passed.. I'm not wishing these bittersweet days away, I'm making every day count. I'll never be able to feel him kick inside my belly once he's born, I'll miss the heartburn, sciatica, etc. so I'm enjoying it.. why wouldn't I?! -- I love being a mommy, and I'm *patiently* waiting to meet our sweet, sweet baby boy!

keep us in your prayers, we love you ladies, and I thank each & every one of you for everything!!
Colby Lee & I love you!! ((: ❤

p.s. for my glucose test on the 22nd @ 2:30 p.m... I wasn't given any instructions for the night before or that following morning before the test? do I just not eat anything sugary that morning? or eat normally? I've been tested for diabetes in the past, and I wasn't allowed to eat/drink anything after midnight the night before..?

Yay glad to hear everything went well for you and you were able to get another doctor. I pray that your test results are normal and you and baby are healthy during the remainder of your pregnancy.

@smcdsmcd: THANK YOU!!! and congratulations a day early to you as well on 25 weeks! time is slipping by so quickly.. enjoying every second though!! - I hope we BOTH pass our sugar tests.. gosh I'd hate to have to do the 3-hour test.. - & YES, I do love the set up of this office also. it worried me at first, but I've been reassured that it's a good thing, and I have nothing to worry about. I hope you continue to do amazing as well! always good to hear from you!! (((:

@mrscollins23: thank you! I was so busy-minded yesterday I didn't ask my usual questions like I typically would, but I'll be giving them a call monday just in case.. hope you're doing well!! (((:

Just to lay off the sugar a few days prior to the test and not to eat once I drink the sugar drink and if I do eat before drinking it to wait 2 hours before I drink the sugary drink.

Hi and congrats and so happy all is going well for u :)  I'm 25 weeks sunday and just can't believe how fast it's all going!!

I also just got the order for my OGTT. My doc told me to eat like normal and that if I fail this one fasting is required for the 3 hour.

My office has 3 docs and I see them all equally.  I actually love the set up. It takes the stress away about not knowing who will b there the day u deliver!

Hope u keep feeling great :)

well, by the time I got home, ate, took a nap.. I didn't even THINK about it until after they were closed.. but I'm definitely going to call monday just to make sure! I've been waiting to get to see this new OB for a couple of weeks now, had lots of drama with the old OB office.. just wasn't thinking clearly today. I was so excited! lol

I've had the diabetes test done when I was in high school, and I definitely had to fast for that.. but since she didn't give me instructions I assumed I was supposed to eat normally. I'll absolutely make sure monday though! I just wanted to ask everyone's opinion! ((:

I have my gd test on the 24th. I had asked the lady I saw at my last appointment (I havent reached the point where I see the same doctor regularly yet smh) & she said I could eat as I normally do, but to obv not eat a big sweet muffin. Its from my understanding that you only have to fast for the 3 hr one should you have to take it. Why don't u call and ask? Every doctor's office is different.

Thats awesome :-) my doctor is exactly the same there's 6 in the office and they always want us to meet them all before I'm full term. I like it bc I won't wonder who they are when they cut me open for a repeat c section.

Each doctor is different, with my first I was told to fast, my second told not to eat after 8pm and this one I was told to eat a normal meal but nothing an hour before. I would call and ask to be sure what they want you to do.
