17wks possible yeast infection?

So I noticed last week that I was going to the bathroom more, and associated it with the fact baby is growing, and making me want to pee more.
Then I realized that not much was coming out when I was having to go 'really bad', and then after as my bladder was emptying - I got the tingling feeling inside that I had to pee, but had legitimately just went, lol.
So, I went to the Dr. and he tested my urine and said in fact I DID have 'some sort of infection' but because it was the weekend, and Easter, he couldn't send it off to be tested 'properly' to see exactly what it was, and put me on Amoxicillin. Saying if my symptoms don't go away in a few days, to get it tested again.
The urgency to pee, and tingling feeling went away, but my (sorry. TMI alert) vag was SO swollen and itchy the last few days. To the point where I actually used penatin cream down there to soothe it, although it didn't really help much.
Know, I know that antibiotics can cause a yeast infection, but I haven't had one in YEARS.
No odor, discharge is white, and thick - but not cottage cheese like Google says :\ but I notice drops of it in the toilet after going pee...
I've been drinking lemon water, and water alone to help flush out my system, I was eating a lot of sugary/fatty stuff and drinking pop and juice which makes down there just a breeding ground for bacteria.
I thought the discharge was just increased because i'm pregnant, but with the itching now... i'm concerned. I don't want the Dr. to give me an internal exam JUST for that because I know they have test kits at the drugstore...
Anyone else have this issue? I had BV in my last pregnancy and kept getting it afterwards and I KNEW it was something because of the smell. Dr. said my bf's sperm could be irritating my downstairs because the pH is high in sperm.. and although we haven't used condoms considering im pregnant, duh. it isn't BV cause this seems entirely different? agh. :(
Also, I know they're not contagious... but is it safe to still have sex with a yeast infection, like safe for my partner? or should I wait til it clears up? I'm 27 and have a child already, but she's 5 and I feel so dumb lol.

I have been to the walk-in clinic and they wont do a pap because I'm 18wks +
And my MW said my urine sample came back negative... so I'm not sure of what else I can do. I stopped going to my OB because I wanted a MW, and here we can online have 1 or the other.

... so I did that swab last night... it is supposed to stay yellow if it's yeast (or nothing I assume) and turn blue if it's bacterial...
when I did a urine test the 4th it came back a definite infection but couldn't say what kind. I took the amoxicillin til Tuesday the 7th when I started getting itchy, did the swab Thursday 9th and it came back blue right away.
Did another urine test Sunday 12th AM and it was negative on the 15th when my MW gave me results, and last night, swab came back negative/yeast...
how could I have had a bacterial infection AFTER I stopped taking the antibiotics, and now it's gone away? if it was a UTI do you think that would show up on that swab? I was drinking fresh lemon water for almost a week straight trying to flush my system out...

Sounds to me like you have a UTI.

Metronidazole is what they gave me when I had Trichamoniasis (it's the same prescription they give for Bacterial Vaginosis as well) and then my son's heart stopped at 14wks last yr :(
So I basically refuse to take that again... I read online that they shouldn't ever give it in high doses (they gave me 4 high mg pills all at once) and that it should almost never be given in the first trimester, and I was only a week out of my first :(
Going to definitely use that other swab tonight because I don't want to risk this being an infection, and something harming my unborn baby

I am 30 weeks and went through exactly what you are going through. Only I told them something is wrong!!!!! And if its NOT a yeast then what is it?!.
( I demanded them to figuere it out). Finally they did a urine culture and culture of the discharge. urine came back with bateria and culture of discharge negative BUT they decided to TREATED ME WITH over the counter METRONIDAZOLE.... Sure enough the issue was resolved!sometimes hormones are not high enough and can cause incorrect results but if you go by the books (symptoms) switch was my case, you can avoid a lot if mis diagnosis.

Apparently you cant get paps after 12 weeks?
I did another urine test and my MW said it was negative?
I'm so confused... I was still itchy down there when I gave the sample, but not anymore...
going to go home tonight and do another swab (test kit comes with 2) and see if it still says bacterial. either Dr's are just lazy, or they're not testing for proper things...

I bought one of those test swab things at Shoppers Drug Mart that tells you if it's a Yeast Infection or Bacterial, and it came back bacterial...
So I'm going to go to the walk-in clinic tomorrow and get a pap/swab done and tested properly.
Ugh. Just my luck it's not something simple! :(

I was reading that yogurt has no real evidence of it helping at all :/ ?
On all the home remedy sites it doesn't have any hard evidence, and I effing hate yogurt, lol! unless it has fresh fruit and granola, which takes time to prepare, and money lol.
he's definitely circumcised, and I never thought about spreading the infection further up... I actually enjoyed it the last time because it gave me some itching relief lmao. but I think im definitely going to stray away from sex now, cause yeah like I said, never though about it going further up.
I've had 3 miscarriages and 1 was at 16wks last September, so I really don't want to risk this baby :(
thanks for your input ladies

Try to eat Greek yogurt daily which have live culture in them and that will help throughout your pregnancy.
