28 weeks and period like cramping

Is cramping around 38 weeks normal? I woke up out of my sleep with the worst cramping pain and it lingered for about 45 mins. It never stopped like contractions and didnt get better with changing positions. Im not bleeding but this morning I still have some pain but not as intense. Anyone know if this is ok or should I be worried?

It's possible that they're braxton hicks. I've been having braxton hicks since I was 13 weeks on and off (confirmed by my ob)  and was hospitalized for 22 hours of contractions that would not stop on their own last week. This is my first. So, I have no idea how early people typically get braxton hicks, but when my ob told me I was having them at 13 weeks, she didn't seem surprised or like it was unusual. Maybe it's just something that's different for everyone?

Probly not bracston hicks that early on. Were you doing anything strenuous before you had them like heavy lifting?

I'm 28 weeks and I've had some cramping like that, but it mostly eases up after a few minutes to a few hours. Could it be braxton hicks?
