What can I do to speed it up or when will it go to 4cm I'm 36 1day

I was 1 cm for weeks.  I didn't go to 2 plus centimeters until I was 40 weeks plus 10 days.  I was 1 cm for over 5 weeks.  You can do the usual things, walk, have sex, etc.  Your doctor will irritate your cervix which can cause it to open a bit when you have your checks during all of your last month's visits (weekly).  It will happen soon enough hon.  I know it's uncomfortable and hard to wait.  But you'll get there.  good luck
