9Lbs and over is considered baby been on the large side or so my midwife seems to think. Ive had 2 babies at 9lbs 2oz each and they defo werent averaged size babies
9 pounds is still an average sized baby. Anything over 11lbs is considered big.
Yeh i agree granthambaby that sometimes its down to genetics. Ive tried hard and it looks like babies won lol. I havent gained any weight this pregnancy only lost. Guess ill have to wait and see what my growth scan says she weighs. Ive had growth scans before with no2 and no3 and it was pretty much spot on
Aww thats so nice to hear im not the only one lol. What sort of foods should i be avoiding? I hate all the comments i get from friends and family who think its funny that i have big babies. I would just like for once to be able to say i had a nice small (weight wise) baby lol. All my babies have been long as my partner is 5 ft 11 and im almost 5 ft9 and my family are all tall except from my mum
I'm 35 weeks and my son is right at 7lbs. My doctor told me flat out that sometimes it's genetics. I've gained the right amount of weight for my build (I was very petite pre pregnancy), I don't have diabetes or any other health issues. However, 10 and 11 lb babies run on my husband's side of the family. So basically, my husband's genes won, despite whatever I've done this pregnancy.
It is not selfish. I stop eating anything high in fat because my first at thirty six weeks was eight and a half pounds. So I knew with the rest to be careful. My third baby I was not as careful and at thirty eight weeks had a nine pound baby, well a half a ounce from nine. I wanted a nice normal sized baby.lol.
