34 week midwife app

So ive had my midwifes app today and i dont know how i feel. This is baby no4. Baby no2 and 3 were big babies weighing 9lbs 2oz. My last delivery was more than hard..constant internals from trying to turn baby as his head was tilted to the side, his heart rate was low so they did internals to attach clips to his head to monitor his heart rate and internals to try and force my cervix over his head as my labour wouldnt progress. I know this maybe tmi but i honestly felt like a rubbish bin with everyone rummaging around inside. So whats bothering me now is ive had hyperemesis for 5 months and ive lost 3 stone in weight. Ive been hard on myself whilst eating and only allowed myself a few treats now and again and was told only 3 weeks ago she was small. I went today am im measuring 33 weeks but she said shes not small but not excessively big. When she plotted my measurements on the chart she said if i go to term im looking at my baby weighing over 9lbs!! Im so stressed i was kind of hoping id done things right this time like eating healthy..exercising..losing weight. I dont understand how i can be measuring a week behind and her still be a big baby. I know it probably sounds selfish but i was kind of hoping she would be round about the 7lb to 8lb mark!! Ive got a growth scan at 36 weeks on januarythe 6th and im so nervous. Has anyone else been told their having a big baby but were suprised by weight?  Sorry very long i know

9 pounds is still an average sized baby. Anything over 11lbs is considered big.

Yeh i agree granthambaby that sometimes its down to genetics. Ive tried hard and it looks like babies won lol. I havent gained any weight this pregnancy only lost. Guess ill have to wait and see what my growth scan says she weighs. Ive had growth scans before with no2 and no3 and it was pretty much spot on

Aww thats so nice to hear im not the only one lol. What sort of foods should i be avoiding? I hate all the comments i get from friends and family who think its funny that i have big babies. I would just like for once to be able to say i had a nice small (weight wise) baby lol. All my babies have been long as my partner is 5 ft 11 and im almost 5 ft9 and my family are all tall except from my mum

I'm 35 weeks and my son is right at 7lbs. My doctor told me flat out that sometimes it's genetics. I've gained the right amount of weight for my build (I was very petite pre pregnancy), I don't have diabetes or any other health issues. However, 10 and 11 lb babies run on my husband's side of the family. So basically, my husband's genes won, despite whatever I've done this pregnancy.

It is not selfish. I stop eating anything high in fat because my first at thirty six weeks was eight and a half pounds. So I knew with the rest to be careful. My third baby I was not as careful and at thirty eight weeks had a nine pound baby, well a half a ounce from nine. I wanted a nice normal sized baby.lol.
