Oh thank you guys this really gives me a peace of mind and it could be the measurements that are off but it never happened before so for now I'm getting a scan every other week for measurements

I had something similar happen during my first pregnancy. My son was measuring small my hole pregnancy and was born at 37 week at only 4.8 pounds. But today he is 8 months old still small and doing great.  So don't stress everything will be fine.

With my first they kept telling me mine was behind too but he was happy and healthy once he came into this world. He weighed 5lbs 6oz which is a little under weight but he was healthy as a horse and we went home the next day! I wouldn't worry about it tho.
The readings could be off too bc my cousin recently had her baby and they told her she was going to have an 8lb baby.... hers wound up to be 6lbs so I don't think it's too much to worry about.
Congratulations on your new baby!!

Hope everything is fine for you.

Different body parts develop at different rates at times. It depends on the baby. Just like when children are growing outside the womb, it really depends on their own individual growth rates.

I'm sure my old coworker was told her baby's head was a week or two ahead... But just like his mommy, he just had a big head. Mom was built tiny with a larger than "normal" head size.

Either you or your partner have a slightly smaller head size?

My baby is measuring a week behind but I'm not tall and neither is my husband, both average height so they're not worried about it. She's just small like I was.

If the drs were worried, they would let you know. If the measurements were over two weeks, there might be an issue. It also depends on the technicians doing ultrasound, some are better than others, some give a larger variance in measurements. I've seen them redoing some and the positioning of the markers can make a big difference.

Don't worry too much about it, it should be fine
