I was 40+6 but went into labour at 40+4. I had a long two days of it. My friend was 42+3 with her first. It really depends on your body and your baby.

Hi there! I was 12 days od with my first baby. My midwife had me take castor oil to help start contractions and boy did it work!! You end up cleaning out ur bowels and the cramping that comes from the c.oil helps labor contractions begin. Took c.oil Friday night and was admitted to hospital 7 am sunday

With my first baby I went 2 wks past my due date and then when I finally went into labor it was a 72 hr process..... ohhh but it was well worth the wait

I was 40 weeks 5 days with my first. The night I went into labor I gently bounced on an exercise ball for a couple hours. Not sure if it was just a coincidence, I read that it could help so I tried it.

With my first I was 6 days over but I had to be induced because I had pre eclampsia otherwise I'd probably have gone another week and again with my third I was the whole 2 weeks over he came one day before he had to be induced .. sorry hun it's just one of those things they will come when they want to stubborn little buggers lol xx
