Am I doing something wrong

I am 39 weeks 3 days. I am scheduled to get induced next Wednesday night when I will be 40+2. My baby feels as  if he is getting higher instead of lower. I am afraid to get induced and have complications. All the women in my family have natural births usually a week before due date. I feel as if I've done something wrong or I'm not doing enough for my baby. I still haven't felt a single contraction or Braxton hicks. I can't sleep at night because I have what I call phantom contractions. I want it to happen so bad I think every little thing is a contraction.

Try walking and the squats sex also and really those things help but it's more to feel like your doing something. ... But you have done nothing wrong on the contrary your baby is enjoying that warm snugly home you've made for him he doesn't want to leave yet he'll be ready soon enough and when you get the contractions you'll feel them mine woke me from a deep sleep lol good luck honey and enjoy these days

Hes probably just still growing. They drop but then they quickly fill the space. :) try doing squats, thats my plan for today.

My son was super high and I was less than a cm when I went into labor with him. Granted, it's lasted a tad over 24 hours, but I think most babies move down just fine with the contractions. It may take a bit since the baby's high, but I don't think that will hinder a natural labor.

Is it okay for him to be high up and get induced? My doctor said she couldn't feel his head and I am barely 1cm dilated since last Friday. I am also terrified that my body or my baby won't be ready when I get induced and I will have emergency c-section

Lol calm down mama you done nothing wrong but have a comfortable place for your baby to stay.. :-) everyone pregnancy is different.. so don't compare.. inducing is not a bad thing.. sometimes pregnancy can put stress on a mother's body.. so you will be ok and so will your baby.. you will just see him/her a couple days earlier..

No medical reason. My husband is army and we really want him to be here, it being our first, we scheduled it in order for them to allow him to come home. I am hoping I go into labor on my own but it feels as if it will never happen that way

No your not doing anything wrong. Why are you getting induced? Is there a medical reason?
