I was anemic all that means is you're really low on iron so talk to your doctor about taking iron supplements..that'll bring u back up :)

I was told for all 3 of my pregnancies that Im anaemic. As long as u take ur medicine as perscribed there shud be no issues during pregnancy or birth. Being anaemic makes u tired and can give u blackouts if its really low. And ur blood being circulated to ur baby means u get even less iron for yourself and baby probably wudnt be getting efficient iron either. So make sure u take ur medicine. When I took my medicine as told after two weeks I was told that my iron levels had gone back to normal thankfully bt rhey adviced me to still take the iron tablets but instead of two a day to cut down to one a day. Hope that helps! :)

I've been anaemic on and off for the last 5 years and during and after all 3 of my pregnancies. As long as you take your iron tablets when your supposed to you will be fine, being anemic at birth can cause you to loose more blood, but that's not an issue if your taking supplements.

Just found out my iron is basically zero today... Supplements don't seem to work for me that well... Before pregnancy I was taking iron with vit C which raised my levels heaps, but it doesn't seem to do enough whilst pregnant and I've lost it all now... Going to look into an iron infusion I think...

Also I've always been low, especially in pregnancy, and it didn't affect my births much, but I did get pretty faint afterwards for a day or 2, couldn't stand for very long at all...
