Any one had gestational diabetes with previous pregnancy?

Can you please share your experience. I would like to know if you were able to have the baby without any complications. Did you have Vaginal Birth??

They wanted me to deliver her early as they said on the scan she was measuring 9lbs or more but she was only 6lb 10. They never once mentioned c section to me so I wouldn't worry. I am now pregnant with my second and don't have GD up to now fingers crossed bt my blood pressure is slightlying high this time and I'm only 16 weeks bt urine was fine so they've put me on meds to lower my BP but I'm worried about that and if It will develop into preeclampsia :( they said hopefully not as being fully monitored but there's risk of c section with this I read so I'm worried but my mam had 2 c sections and said they r fine but I'd  deliver vaginally like last time too. Also my gd blood sugars never were high until I went into labour and then they shot up bt they injected me with insulin and I and baby were fine. hope that helps,sorry for the essay haha

I had gd with my 1st child 2 years ago and it was just diet controlled. I had a healthy baby, natural Birth at 38 weeks 4 days (stretch and sweep worked) if it didn't was going to be induced at 39 weeks. They said she was going to be 9lb plus and she was 6lb10. Don't worry u will be fine

Thanks for sharing and your well wishes.  So why did you give birth early?? And why were they going to induce you at 39 weeks? I am just very anxious. This is my 2nd pregnancy, with my first I didn't have GD and gave birth vaginally. But hearing lot of people say with GD C-section is very common. Which I am trying to avoid. I am also maintaining my GD and not on any med thank god. Have 3 more months to go!!

I had gd with my first.  I had natural birth at 39 weeks.  Estimated weight was 9-10 lbs. And she was only 5 lbs.   I did not need medication for the gd just checked myself everyday and kept track of my numbers

Thanks for sharing. So you have a second child and didn't have GD when you were pregnant?? Just curious, this is my second pregnancy for my first I did not have GD but now with my 2nd I do. And So far thank god I am maintaining it without Any med. And I gave birth vaginal with my first, so hoping I will have vaginal birth this time as well. But hearing lot of people say GD makes people have C section. So very anxious.

Yes I've had 3 pregnancy I'm on my fourth.  And I've only had it with my first.  This time I'm 18 weeks they made me take the test early and passed it.   Ill have to retake at 27 weeks.
