Anyone had high blood pressure in early pregnancy?

Hi had an app today,I'm 15 weeks pregnant and they said my blood pressure was slightly raised so have put me on meds to reduce it. Wondered if anyone has experienced this and if it went after the baby was born? and if you had a healthy natural Birth? this is my second child and all was fine with previous. Thanks

Thanks alot for your comment, I have started taking my meds so hopefully it will reduce and I have to go weekly for BP checks. I just hope I get baby to a gd birth weight ect before I have to have him/her as I'm only 15 weeks and don't want it to develop into the dreaded p word.Your comments have made me feel better thanks again

I also had pregnancy hypertension with my first baby.  I didn't take meds but had my bp checked often and had symptoms to look for that I was supposed to call the doctor if they happened. Severe headache, seeing floaties, or dizziness.  They obviously checked my urine at each visit as well for protein to check for pre eclampsia.  Mine never got to that point.  I was put on bedrest for three weeks before I gave birth due to swelling and pitting of legs (that was beautiful, I have to tell you)---  and my blood pressure stayed high after I gave birth. We were in the hospital for 2 extra days due to my blood pressure.  I had a cuff that automatically took it every couple hours which was a pain in the behind as it did it all night long.  Anyway, sorry you are having to deal with that but hang in there.

I had prenatal hypertension with my daughter. I only took meds while I was pregnant. After she was born my blood pressure when back to close to normal after a month or so. I was induced a day before my due date because of it, but I am also overweight. Everything with her was fine other than she pooped before she was born, so she had a little bit of breathing problems. You would never know it now though! I hope that some of this helped!

Thanks for your comment. I just hope I can still have a natural delivery rather than a c section but whatever they recommend I will do and hope it doesn't develop into preeclampsia
