Anyone have dental work while preggo

So I was eating one of thee most relentless starburst ever, it was stuck to my tooth and I was trying to pull it off.. But ended up pulling off a filing along with a piece of my tooth.. Just wondering if anyone else had the same problem.. I should've had a snickers instead..

I broke a tooth flossing! I ended up having 2 root canals. Not fun at all! But it's so much better to get the work done than to risk it affecting the baby. 2nd trimester is the golden window!

I had a tooth pulled. I just had to wait till my second trimester to do it because I needed antibiotics that pass through the uterus. They did however mess up my x Ray because the nurse didn't know the proper protocol and she didn't cover me up right...I thought the dentist was gonna have a stroke when she walked in....so just make sure u have a doc and staff that knows how to handle a pregnant patient. Also the dumb nurse told me to take ibuprofen...I told her no and she was like well just take what your doctor recommends. ??  I called my doctor right after and they called and blasted them and told them what is good and not good...hopefully better luck for the next preggers that walks in for dental work

Lol... I want pink and yellow starbursts now *_*
I've had dental work-a had a wisdom tooth pulled at 13 1/2 weeks (not fun) and then a deep cleaning about 2 weeks ago @ 37 1/2 weeks (not fun either) but safe. A filling or a crown should not be an issue :)

Haha, I'm sorry for laughing, but you explained your problem in a way that hit my funny bone! I have not had dental work while pregnant, but my midwife has told me it's fine if I need it. Ask your doctor first for peace of mind and make sure the dentist knows you're pregnant if it's not obvious. I hope your tooth feels better soon!
