At 6 weeks pregnant, is it safe to ride rollercoasters?

Some say it's not and some say it is. I just want some more opinions.

I went on a rollercoaster at 6 weeks pregnant I dint know i was pregnant though. I ended up having a miscarriage a day later. My advice would be not to go and stay on the safe side. X

I went to blackpool pleasure beach when I was 14weeks and they have signs that tell you if the rides are unsafe for pregnant women....I went on 4 smaller rides one of them being a ghost train and my baby is fine!

I just had my first doctor appointment and asked the questions about going on rides and white water rafting.  I was told not to do it.  You don't want to go on anything that is jerky or can cause harm to your stomach.  We have the fair coming to town and I usually go on rides with my step son who is 5.  I will not be going on anything this year as its not worth the risk!

I just saw this does anyone know if the ride that you lay on your stomach and it's like a kite that brings you in circles, is bad? I'm 8 weeks and went on it once, had no idea it could harm the baby?

Why risk it either way? Is it worth it in the end?

When I was 8 weeks I went to six flags. I didn't find out I was pregnant until after and my baby turned out fine :)

No. Your doctor would likely also say no.

I wouldn't risk it. Pregnancy is a very delicate time. The g-force alone would scare me into believing it to be a bad idea. People with heart problems shouldn't ride roller coasters, and your baby is just developing their heart.. Seems a little risky, but again, it's your choice. I'm sure many women have rode them without knowing their pregnant, and had normal pregnancies. I'm just suggesting that it's very risky, imo

Yes it's fine.  Your baby is still protected well below your pubic bone.
