BOO (bladder outlet obstruction)

I'm 16 weeks along in my pregnancy. Just found out today my baby has a bladder outlet obstruction. It really freaked me out. Has anyone else gone through this? Is so, what was the outcome? Staying positive but want answers.

My best friend's daughter was born with the condition. She delivered early because the baby wasn't able to replace amniotic fluid fast enough so they decided to deliver her at 35 weeks. By the time she was a week old the drs had placed a shunt in to open the passage. I'm not sure if this is the normal treatment or not. But the baby is now 3 months old and sees a urologist regularly to be checked. Though she's not sure why because baby is doing fine and growing like crazy. :)
