Mine was opposite they kept saying larger than she was. Ultrasounds are just rough ball park. They Only get concerned if the navy is way ahead or way behind. Because babies full term have a wide ranged. Mine was almost 11lb and my sister had a 6lb.
I just bought extra calcium supplements (vitamins) and been taking 2 each day. The total calcium in these supplements + prenatals was about 1600mg a day.
Thanks!
Yes, I was seeing a high-risk doctor once a month in addition to OB. He had me take extra calcium (1500mg total), flex seed oil and baby aspirin every day in addition to prenatals.
Stopped baby aspirin at about 38 weeks, but still keep taking the rest.
Just try to think positive. My first one was micropreemie too due to preeclampsia, stopped growing at 24 weeks and we didn't catch it until week 28, that's when I had to have c-section too.
Now, with my second pregnancy my baby kept measuring small (in the 20th percentile) until about week 38. My due date is tomorrow and she is measuring in the 55th percentile now)) I'm getting worries she might even be too big lol.
So if your OB is not concerned, you should be ok.
My baby seemed normal last time but when he was born at 40+2 he turned out to be very small for his term... ultrasounds aren't always right! Was your OB worried?
As long as the heart beat is on track and strong you should be good. Each ultrasound tech has a different eye and because they are working with such small measurements if they are off a tiny bit because of a certain angle it can be judged as a different points in your pregnancy.
Hope that helps.
