Best Body Lotions

Hello I'm 5 weeks pregnant. I've been trying to research the best lotions or oils to help stretch marks. Any suggestions?

I'm using a kukua nut and cocoa butter blend my man found (he was trying to be sweet) and it has helped a little with the itch (my skin itches like crazy, but no marks).  A friend of mine at work said his wife used coconut oil and my step mom used olive oil on herself.  She has weird skin that scars weird, and got the marks, but my friends wife didn't.  Keep hydrated and use a soap that has moisturizer in it (like Shea Butter or almond and milk extracts).  I think that's what's actually doing the trick for me, since I use that lotion he got me very sparingly.

I'm 28 wks with #4 and I've never gotten stretch marks for the first pregnant I used Palmer's tummy butter now and then but not throught the whole pregnancy so I decided otvwas a waste of my money and I've never used it or anything else again. I just think if you get em you get em if you don't you don't. But I do know that coacoa butters help reduce the look of scars(stretch marks) not necessarily prevent them.

I've used regular lotion the whole time and was careful with my weight gain.  No stretch marks no far and I'm 36 weeks.  The biggest part of whether you get them is genetic so don't spend too much cash on oils.  They're really not that effective

I'm 20 weeks and have been using palmers tummy butter on breasts, tummy, hips, butt and also jergens Shea butter lotion  since I found out. So far so good. I have a few marks on my hip that i got after the freshman 15 gain and then loss in college. They had faded, so I'm hoping after birth they'll fade again.

Palmer's did well for me with my first but this time around I'm just using coconut oil (amazing) and keeping well hydrated. Even though you're less likely to get more after you've had one, I'm not taking any chances!

I wouldn't go for the most expensive since most don't really work they just help a little. Getting stretch marks or not depends mostly on ur genetics, how soon u gain weight and your hydration. Lotions and creams help ur skin to stay hydrated but just drinking lots of water does the same thing. They also help with the itching. But the main thing u can do is hope that ur genetics are good one and keep a healthy diet and exercise so u don't get way too big to where ur skin tears (underneath underneath skin) with the stretching and stay very hydrated. But u can still try lotions it helps with dryness

I have used Palmers cocoa butter lotion for stretch marks with both of my children now. I feel it keeps your skin more moisturized then other lotions. It doesn't get dry and itchy through out the day. I personally didn't get any stretch marks on my belly at all woth my first. I did get some on my thighs and butt, however they went away after I had her rather fast. I also had tons on my boobs, but again they went away very quickly. So far I don't have any with this pregnancy but I am only 18 weeks 5 days. If you are gonna get stretch marks then you are going to get them, but using lotions and stuff can definitely help reduce them and even help them go away or at least get lighter after baby is born. And drinking lots of water. Anything to keep the skin moisturized and help keep up the elasticity in the skin will help.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Massage Lotion For Stretch Marks with Vitamin E and Shea Butter Women Body Lotion is favourably reviewed at amazon.com (I suggest you read the customer reviews and answered questions there).  I personally don't think it's likely to do much, but is unlikely to cause harm and is not outrageously priced.
