So stressed out over prepping for baby!

62 days left, and things are starting to really come together. We have most of our nursery set up, minus curtains, rocking chair, and crib, all of who I are still in boxes. I feel like I still have so much to do though!  I'm only planning on taking 6 weeks maternity leave because I really can't afford any longer, and I have no idea what I'm going to to about child care.

My biggest worry is that I'm in the process of trying to get my own health insurance, I'm still covered by my mothers insurance for all of my prenatal care, but that will not cover the baby when she gets here. I feel like 9 weeks is long enough to figure out this insurance thing, but I don't know how to go about finding a pediatrician if I don't know what health insurance she will be under. Ugh! I hate myself for not figuring this out earlier. I feel like such a failure of a mom alread and she's not even here yet.

Goto your local county office or you can go through the wic office they will help you set it up.

I applied online through my county office it was easier for me than going in person

Before I married my husband I was working 2 jobs and neither one of them offered me insurance and by the age of 18 ( if I wasnt going to college) my parents insurance dropped me. So I called the state ( I live in maine) and asked to sign up for Maine care but to no avail because I was working 2 jobs and didnt have kids! So I told the woman how absolutley ridiculous it was blah blah blah but she told me about a program in our state called care partners and they work with hospitals and drs who will see you free of charge and hospitals will see you at much lower costs. It only applies to specific drs in the state and hospitals but it helped me in a pinch. I also had to provide my pay stubs every 6 months to re apply to verify that I was working and making under a certain amount of money per month. Anyways what Im trying to say its its worth calling the state ( im not sure if you live in the US or not) to find these programs to help you and your baby!

Does anyone know how I can sign her up for Medicaid?  I'm not sure how to go about it, I've tried looking it up online but I keep getting sent to the mass health connector, which I've already applied for insurance through.  I myself don't need any prenatal care covered by it, since it's being covered under my mom's. I just don't know how to go about doing it for her and finding a pediatrician in this situation at the moment.

Medicaid covers the mom though pre-natal, delivery and 6weeks of post-natal then the mom is on her own. It does cover the baby for their first year for all their check ups.
