Aww those things sound great. Its nice to be able to make home made stuff or pass things on from previous generations. @ maybay, I know what you mean. I was finding knitting to get really frustrating while pregnant cause my hands just feel tired and clumsy. I don't know if you've tried using a round loom before but I got a set for myself and it makes thibfs waaaay easier faster and less painful :-)
I'm crotcheting a blanket for little one. Helps keep my mind of how bad I feel on my off days.
I am restoring the baby quilt my mom made before I was born and used for me, my brother, and my sister :) It's in pretty good condition after 29 years, just swapping out some of the torn squares for new ones.
I crochet and quilt, but my hands hurt so bad. I just can't.
I make a baby book / scrap book for each of mine. I use paint, fabric and batting to recover the outside of the album.
