Exactly right for to the first comment i total agree with you. It takes way to much time. When my son was first born i pumped for two weeks because he wouldnt latch on i guess my nips were too small lol and it was hell. Have to get up and heat breast milk at night oh no. So i asked his dr what can i do she says i should try one more time and sure thing when we got home i tried and he got right on it. Ever since then breastfeeding has been a piece of cake. And he`ll be 1 next month and i still breastfeed while being almost 8 months pregnant. Go Me lol
I plan on pumping. And I'm not very hopeful that I will even get my milk supply
If you will be he with your baby, I recommend breastfeeding. Pumping is so much more time consuming and you have the extra task of washing and always having bottles on hand. If you want to bottle feed your milk because you want to have help feeding your baby, that isn't a good option either because you still have to wake up to pump when your baby eats to avoid your supply dropping. When my daughter was a newborn she'd get full off of one breast and the other side would be so full that I'd pump that side and it took so much longer than when my daughter nursed. Not to mention you can't pump properly when you're falling asleep from exhaustion. I've spilled milk several times. And crying over spilled pumped milk is a reason to cry! When you nurse your baby can lay next to you and nurse. There are benefits of nursing too. It promotes proper jaw development and you get the amazing bonding time you can't get any other way. So if you are able to nurse, do it, but pumping is the next best alternative.
