Breastfeeding while pregnant?

I'm 5 weeks and I have a 10th month old baby. I want to continue to feed my baby. I've heard that you get less milk or the baby won't like the taste of it nomore and that breastfeeding makes you go in to labor sooner. Alllll negatives ofcourse. What can I really expect? Any suggestions?

How did you make it happen?

I planned on breastfeeding my daughter until she was 18 months old. I found out I was expecting and had no clue the affects it was going to have on breastfeeding! I unfortunately completely dried up and had no choice but to switch my daughter to formula right before her one year birthday. I was very disappointed but there was nothing I could do! Needless to say, she's 14 months now, healthy and still loves her babas! It's out of your control but continue if you can!

When I was got pregnant I was breastfeeding my 9month old baby and the doctor told me I could keep breastfeeding as long as I was eating well enough and drinking lots of fluids and I decided to keep breastfeeding my baby until he turn 1year old and I am now 20 weeks prego and everything is going great.

I never got to breast feed my daughter because whe was in the nicu for a whole week and i never got a chance for her to get my milk to come, anyways ive heard that breastfeeding can cause miscarriages or something like that because it can cause contractions or something im not sure, but i would ask your doctor and a breastfeeding consultant just to get better information for the health of your pregnancy, and congrats on that new baby on the way

Your baby will so when he/she is ready... With my oldest 2 I got pregnant with my second child when my oldest was 9 months... She's stopped the day after her 1st birthday... I don't know if it's because the milk changed or what but it was her choice... Kind of broke my heart but at the same time I was happy cause she was due hard breast baby... She refused to take bottles from me or anyone else, she went 8 hours without eating because she wanted the boobs... So don't worry about it I was always told that it's alright to nurse when pregnant...

In the begining of my pregnancy I was spotting on and off for 3 weeks (6-7-8) some doctors and alot of people adviced me to stop breast feeding if I want to keep the baby, my daughter was 15 months at that time , and I couldn't simply stop breast feeding but I started giving her more solids and put her in a day care center , eventually she asked for less milk . Now I'm 20w+2d I'm still breast feeding once during day time , and twice during night. And everything is just fine.
