I'm having a natural birth. But if you were told to have a c section, I would have a second look. I've several friends who were told they "Had" to have one when that wasn't true. Get a second opinion. Doctors get paid more for those procedures and as bad as it sounds that's all they care about. Make sure it's necessary. God bless.

You don't get to choose. They only do c-sections if medically necessary.

I've done both, and to be honest I'd do it natural before a c-section. My last c-section was 7 years ago I've decided to do it natural this time.

C-sections suck! I had to have two and am now facing my third and last one. I can no longer do sit-ups or any good core exercises with the fear of some tearing pain that I get whenever I pull what I believe to be is scar tissue. Its no fun. I wish I could go all natural :/

There are plenty of doctors that allow their patients to have elective c-sections. It is also a complete myth that they get paid more to perform c-sections.

I had an emergency c section.  Went into premature labor and my daughter might not have survived a natural birth at 25 weeks.  Because they had to do a vertical internal incision, I can't go natural anymore.  I WISH I COULD.

But, I know I'll heal and everything will be fine.  Yes, I'm nervous but I'll have my son at the end of everything.  It'll be worth it.

I haven't had a c-section but knowing what I know and being a nurse, I would always hope that all my births would be natural. C-section has a longer healing process and it's unnatural for your body. I would be nervous too if I had to have a c-section. Good luck. Hope all goes well :)
