C-Section

Tuesday I will be having a csection and I'm a little scared. My first to kids came out vaginal delivery so this one is new for me. My question is how long did it take for you to heal? Was it rough doing things when you for home from the hospital?

I will be having my third c section in 2 days. My first child was a vaginal delivery. My second was an emergency section after 20 hours of labor. Which I think made it worse bc I was already tired. My second c section was a breeze. You do have to take it easy and not lift heavy things but I have always been up and moving within 12 hours of the surgery. Good luck!!!

For my daughter I had an emergency c-section, which was also my first. It took a couple weeks to heal, but I ended up having a set back due to a sonoma, which is a fluid build-up in the abdomen and it opened a small portion of my incision after the staples had been removed. I didn't even notice and the doctor wasn't worried about it cause it does happen sometimes. I was up and out of bed the very next day at the hospital and the same at home. All you have to do is take it easy, don't rush things and don't lift any heavy things. Somethings I would just have to wait till the hubby was home to help me, but it allowed ne to spend a lot of time with my LO.
Now I've been told by other people who have had c-sections that they couldn't get out of bed for weeks. But people do heal at different rates and you just have to know your body and how much you'll be able to do.
Good luck and you'll do great!! :)
