Can I still be pregnant? Brown blood/discharge. Help!

I'm due for my period tomorrow. I have two beautiful children already.
I took a home pregnancy test today (not first morning urine) and it showed up negative. In my previous pregnancies it took a few attempts as I had low hcg levels.
I've been experiencing frequent urinating, tiredness, strong sense of smell, slight nausea etc which is why I thought I may be pregnant. I have read symptoms can be more noticeable once you have experienced being pregnant before.
However I went to the toilet again after I took the test and had a small amount of brown blood/discharge.
Been to the toilet one more time since then and had nothing more.
Now I'm stuck wondering if I will get my period or can I possibly still in fact be pregnant?!

I'm curious if anyone else has been in the same situation and what was your outcome???

Last year my son was admitted to hospital and in the drama I missed about three contraceptive pills. We weren't trying to get pregnant then. My period was late and I had early pregnancy symptoms so I did a test and it was negative even tho we were certain I was. Sure enough three days after that I got my period. Guess it was just a late one from mucking around with the pill. Fingers crossed your situation works out the way you want!
