I woke up today with a cold sore on my upper lip grrrrrrrrrrrr. I am 24wks and 3days pregnant (FTM).  I had a cold sore before pregnant.  Did any of you ladies have  sore cold when pregnant. Also is it something I should be concern?

I get them when I'm super stressed, so I am grateful for the acetone tip. Does any one know if that works for pimples too? I'm breaking our like a teenage boy going through puberty :(

Put fingernail polish remover on it with a qtip. I swear by it!!! if you ever feel yourself starting to get one do it to and half the time it wont even come up!

Your going to think this sounds crazy, but if you hit it with acetone right away, nothing makes it go away faster. If you take lysine everyday you won't get them.

The newborn usually gets it from their parents after birth from kissing the newborn and is very dangerous for them to get it at that age. You don't have anything to worry about if you get it while pregnant. The virus is already in your body.. there is nothing you cab do about that.. it will always be there and it just comes out when your body is stressed.

I dont think its anything to worry about while pregnant but here in Australia there was a news story recently about a new born baby who has unfortunately died due to contracting the cold sore virus :( I think its very rare but maybe speak to your doctor to get all the facts
