Couldn't avoid lifting...

I'm 26wk pregnant and live in Chicago so by default I pretty use to walking and exercising. Yesterday however, my four year old daughter fell asleep on the Metra on our way from shopping. It was impossible to wake her so I ended up carrying her and several bags about four "Chicago" blocks. I'm not in any pain but I'm still concerned. Any similar experiences or advice? I'm going to take it easy today.

I lifted my 12kg son and ripped all my pelvis muscles, was very scary, in a brace for the rest of my pregnancy. Just remember all your muscles are stretching and moving with the relaxin hormones so easier to pull. Take care!

Lifting is only for your back...it wont hurt the baby.

Your welcome! Yes, I'm up north off of Belmont ave, and I have been forced to watch all these beach bodies all summer. While I wobbled around fat and uncomfortable lol. I'm so happy I will have a little of the summer left to enjoy. It's been a long journey!

Ahhhhh!!! Congratulations! And thank you sooo much. Yeah, I'll definitely have to become more assertive and wake her up next time. Love Lakeshore Dr. I'll be beachbody ready next summer! :-)

If there is no pain, bleeding, or less movement from baby than you should be fine. Today though take it easy, because it sounds like you had a busy day yesterday. By the way I'm from Chicago too, and cant wait to enjoy a nice walk on the beach 19more days left for me
