I am 8 weeks pregnant and my 1st doctors appointment is in a few days. I've been experiencing severe cramps in my stomach and back. Is this normal?

If the pain is too severe go to a hospital. Since you haven't had your first ultrasound yet, youd want to make sure it isn't  symptoms of an ectopic pregnancy. Cramping is normal as long as there isn't bleeding. But like I said if the pain is like really bad and agonizing then I'd be concerned.

Could be dehydration if it's not too bad cramping. Drink plenty of water. But I do agree with the above comment.
