Just be careful with your cholesterol as well! Salt can have its advantages if its iodinized salt and not Kosher. Pregnant ladies need Iodine to help with their pancreas and help boost baby's brain development and nervous system. Some prenatals ( including mine) dont offer iodine so Ive been trying to eat foods that are richer in it and iodinized salt is one of the foods that is, so dont go crazy overload on it, but also dont feel too guilty about using it to season your food, like I said watch your cholesterol as well as your bp!
I had that... Although the seasoning I was using was like crack lol soooo good. Half the bottle gone in a month by myself... And it was before I found out I was pregnant. It has lots of salt and worried me so I use herbs instead now as much as possible. I drink lots of watet so some salt is ok with me to keep things in balance.
I want tons of sweets now since I limited my salt lol. Cakes, cookies, ice cream haha
I ate a lot of salt before pregancy I mean loads I'd have salt sandwiches, salt on cucumber you name it I added it! Since been preganat I have tried to cut down but salt is an addiction but I've got low blood pressure and all is okay so I wouldn't worry to much
I wonder if you are dehydrated. Sometimes the body craves salt in that circumstance. Are you taking your prenatals?
Don't feel bad... I'm 13 weeks and already salt/hotsauce is my best friend. I crave it everyday and deep down inside I know I shouldn't be having it with such ease. Hence, don't feel too bad... we are similarly in the same boat. ;)
