I know of several babies who are allergic to disposable diapers and get horrible rashes in them no matter what - have you considered trying cloth instead? Pocket diapers like Sunbaby and Alva are very affordable and easy to use, it might be a good way to give your baby's butt a break from the nasty chemicals in disposable diapers.

If its really bad (like raw and bleeding) I mix up Vaseline, any diaper cream medicine you have, fungal foot cream, yeast infection cream (if you have any on and..leave it out for now if you don't) and cortisone. This was recommended by a doctor with my first baby (I have 4 and preg with my 5th.. Trust me it works!). You don't need much of each but an equal amount. The Vaseline is a lubricant to help keep his bottom dry to prevent more rash, the fungal/yeast creams help because many times baby will have test contributing to the rash(yes even boys) and the diaper cream helps with the rash too obviously and the cortisone helps with inflammation (don't use too much it's a steroid), I would also add you should call and confirm(quick call should be fine) with his doctor that this will be okay for your baby (I sing know your baby or any medical conditions he may have this was recommended to me by a doctor but ice used it on all my babies when needed), another thing is to let him last in his bath with bottom soaking for a bit (of course work you right there lol always feel like I have to cya)! How this helps.

Try calmoseptine. Good stuff! My pediatrician recommended it. Found it at Walgreens in the adult care aisle. (It is safe for baby)

When you change him put some talcom powder. And yes the best thing is the a&d ointment or cream . make sure you always have those handy. Also maybe the brand of diapers is making him get diaper rash. You might wanna try another brand and see if that helps.

It's good to let him go a little while without a diaper on. Just maybe 5 minutes or more if you can use diaper rash cream or A&D ointment.  Also as soon as he wets or poops in his diaper change him immediately don't wait. Good luck
