Hello ladies, I hope all is well in your pregnancies!I just wanted to know if midwives or Dr over in the UK London do membrane sweep/cervical sweep?!?! If so what do you have to tell them to request one to be done? Currently 39weeks 1day. Thanks in advance

Hi I'm in Northern Ireland and I had a membrane sweep with my last pregnancy, they are very common here for nhs patients. It was at 39 or 40 weeks I think, I don't see why you wouldn't get it or whether it depends on the hospital/trust.

I live in ireland myself but im pretty sure they would indeed do them in the uk...seems as you are currently in your last week of pregnancy im sure youd have problem in getting one now..they usually will do one between 38 and 40 weeks..i would certainly ask them if your anxious to get things moving
