Does late ovulation = late + preg test?

I ovulated on day 20 of cycle which was January 24th (instead of around day 14).
I was supposed to get AF yesterday but still nothing. Had neg test yest am but
forgot to do one today. I heard it could take a while for BFP due to late ovulation?
Is this true? Thoughts? Praying I am pregnant! Have not been feeling the greatest
for a few days now.

I had a longer cycle the month I was TTC and ended up being a week out on dating scan because of it. It took 10 days past my AF date before I finally got my bfp. If its still negative tomorrow then I'd give it a week before testing again. Best of luck x

My first preg test was negative on the day AF was due. I took another 1 week later and it was positive! My dating scan also put me a week later than LMP. So although i wasnt taking note of the day i should have been ovulating at the time, i think i must have ovulated around day 21. Im now 40+4 with a little girl - best of luck! X

My recommendation is to test 14 days after ovulation. Any sooner and there probably won't be enough hormone in your urine yet for a positive test if you are pregnant.

I was due yesterday for my period, I have a 30 day cycle. I am told most women ovulate around day 14 however for three months in a row I have ovulated on day 20. Hopefully I will get BFP tomorrow!

If you are due for your period then you are not too early. You should get your period 14 days after ovulation. Was it a 34 day cycle? You could also try an early response test if you like. Plus some women just don't get results until a bit later on.
Hope tomorrow morning you get you bfp
