labour pain or not

could it be possible to be too tolerant of labour pain not to realize labour is on, being at 38w2d I'm having  mixed feelings about tummy area and cervix, pressure like for sure, definitely Braxton at times, yet not sure if it's def labour or simply baby moving about, last docs visit confirm no dilation yet I'm doubtful since this has been happening - tyia for opinion on this

My first son I had no idea I was in labour. I have extremely high pain tolerance and also I had severe braxton hicks and always had severe menastural cramps What I can tell you is by the time we finally got to the hospital the head was on way out. Difference is Braxton hicks I had tummy /back pain.  labour I had a feeling of wanting to poop and try get it out. So if that happens you'll know!!! Good luck momma as no one said I could do all natural etc and I truly had no idea the nurses were so shocked at me and asked how I was doing this.

I agree with her ^^^ I had Braxton  ones and strong at that right up until the day my labor started. The real ones made me stop in my tracks and breath till they were over.

Unless your Braxton hicks /tummy pain is every 7min consistently for an hour even While laying down and hydrating it's not full labor:(

I honestly think real labor is hard not to be aware that something major is going on.  Every woman is different though. For me, contractions were impossible to ignore or sleep through. Braxton hicks were less intense and more rhythmic. I think you'll know when you are in labor. And remember, labor for most first time moms isn't super fast. You'll have time to figure it out.
