Exercise

What types of exercises are okay. I'm only 5 weeks now, but would like to continue to exercise.  Are there any lifting restrictions.

I've worked out through this pregnancy and I have felt a ton better. I'm 29 weeks now.  I stopped jogging 3 weeks ago and now do a fast walk on the treadmill with a little incline 1-3 times a week and walk as much as possible (I have an office job). I've also worked with a 10lb kettlebell but I had planned to put that away at 3rd trimester so I haven't been using it. Just listen to your body.

You can do any activity that you did before safely. If you lifted before you can continue, jumping isn't an issue until later on in the pregnancy. Don't start anything goes new. If you are just starting to work out then do light to moderate weight and light cardio. I am huge into fighter fitness and I will continue until I am no longer able. Listen to your body...of you are experiencing fatigue and are getting good really tired then back off a little. Hope that helps

I pretty much did my usual up until mid 2md trimester. I worked out till the day before i had my son. Lots of walking, i was still able to jog till aboit 37 weeks. Squats, arm exercises with weights.

They usually say not to lift over 10 pounds the first 3 months are most critical, but as for exercise if your a runner then run but don't start doing anything you don't normally do.

It depends what you use to do before. I was advice to be able to talk without difficulty during cardio and keep my heartbeat below 160. Lifting restriction depend, I would ask my doctor or trainer. The key is not to over do it and listen to your body. If anything feel wrong or hurt stop. Staying active make pregnancy so easier and healthier. Good luck!
